Welcome to St Mary & St Margaret

Welcome to the website for St Mary and St Margaret Church! We are a thriving and inclusive all-age congregation from many walks of life.  While many people come from the local community – the “village setting” of Castle Bromwich with its Hall and Gardens – many others are drawn from further afield and from different Christian traditions.

Our Parish Communion service combines a vibrant blend of good music, contemporary and more traditional liturgies and accessible preaching explores scripture in the context of our challenging post-modern society. We do not shy away from the difficult issues of our times.

Mission, Outreach, Thanksgiving and celebration are at the heart of our ethos. This is reflected in the Parish Communion, the celebration of God's gift of creation. Celebration is also at the heart of our active social life, fellowship and study and prayer groups. Our well-used Community Hall is helping us to grow as a Church, providing space for alternative worship, groups for children and older people and as a place to reach out to our local community.

GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES:
Most of our groups are currently unable to operate in the Church Hall due to Covid-19, however some of the fitness classes and our baby and me group (alternate Thursdays) have now resumed. We regret we cannot take private bookings at present.

ORGAN RESTORATION:
What an exciting moment folks: on 6th September 2020 we heard our restored organ for the first time at around 10.15. Thanks to everyone for your support over the weeks, months and years leading to now. A particular thank you to the Organ Restoration committee of course and the skilled team from Diss led by Rodney Briscoe. Lets look forward to a rededication service sometime in the future when we can have a full church. Martin
