Duke of Edinburgh
Book of Condolences
It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
We were privileged to be one of the churches chosen to have a book of condolence in our church but we have just received an update

Sad outcome is the Government has advised that in order to observe current Covid-19 precautions, physical condolence books should not be offered at this time.
If you still wish to offer you condolences The National CofE website is hosting a national book of condolence, which can be accessed via the following link

The book is open to any individual or church communities who wish to sign and record a message.

Message from Sue Bates

The shortlist for the delayed online Philip Bates Prize for Composers and Songwriters 2020 has now been decided. From an amazing 68 entries with a very high standard overall, twelve compositions have now been chosen to go forward to the final. These twelve pieces are now featured on the Philip Bates Trust website and YouTube. To see details of the twelve talented young composers and listen to their compositions, please click on the link. For the best experience use a computer or laptop - on a mobile phone it doesn't seem possible to view the open downloaded text at the same time as listening to the music playing.  The final result should be available in several weeks, decided both by us and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Thanks to Mark (Gamble) for his work on the videos and website.
We hope you enjoy listening to the pieces

Memories
Looking back on 2020
2020 was challenging for so many, in so many different ways, but our Church family has continued to support each other through difficult times. Whilst we know that the road ahead won't be easy and is still a little uncertain - we know that there is hope and together we will continue to get through it.

In the meantime we wanted to look back
at just some of the activities that our Church community took part in,
in addition to our online and in church services. Thank you to everyone who got involved and we hope you enjoy this snap shot of the year in our video round up!
